Ski Report: Egan Range page 2
A ski tour below timberline.
When I started this tour my goal was to reach North Ward Peak and tour along the Egan Crest above
timberline but the as the day progressed the cloud cover dropped lower and soon the upper peaks were
completely socked in. Staying below the clouds on the Blue Grouse Peaks proved to be good decision as I
could see what I was skiing and even when the clouds dropped in on me I still had the trees for a reference
point.
I looked up just in time to see through this tree.

Ely was visible when the occasional hole in the clouds as was the Duck Creek Range.
